Late exit Bergwijn not excluded
A late outgoing transfer from Steven Bergwijn to Ajax is not excluded, says De Telegraaf. The Amsterdam club has inquired at Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City and are understood to be in the market for a winger.
Ajax would like to bring in Bergwijn on a rental basis. Then the winger, who is under contract with Tottenham until mid-2025, would first have to agree with the Londoners on a contract adjustment.
Departure Forbs is also possible
Berwijn is not the only player who could still leave Ajax this summer. The club is also open to a departure from Jay Gorter. The 22-year-old goalkeeper is Ajax's number two, behind Remko Pasveer.
Gorter, who has a contract in Amsterdam until mid-2024, has not yet played an official game for the first team. Last season he was still the substitute goalkeeper at Go Ahead Eagles.
