US Air Force Deputy Commander Dies at Joint Base McGuire-Dix
Colonel Scott Green, the Deputy Commander of the US Air Force Expeditionary Center at Joint Base McGuire-Dix, was found unresponsive at his residence on Friday, March 3, 2023. Medical personnel were called to the scene, but Col. Green was pronounced dead at the age of 44. The cause of death is currently under investigation by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

On Saturday, March 4, 2023, Colonel Benninghoff, the Director of the Army's Command and General Staff School at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, was found unresponsive in his on-post quarters. Emergency responders were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Army is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Col. Benninghoff's death.
